Az eredetileg - tizenhét évvel ezelőtt - az Egyesült Államokból kiinduló, mára globálissá vált Ladyfest mozgalom hagyományainak megfelelően ez egy olyan zenei fesztivál, ami a zenélő, alkotó nőkről szól - a terep a részben vagy egészében nőkből álló zenekaroké, női előadóké. A cél a zenekarok, alkotók bemutatkozása mellett a közösségépítés, inspiráció, a női szolidaritás tereinek építése. A koncerteket a fesztiválon művészeti alkotások, előadások és tematikus beszélgetések, workshopok egészítik ki.
