A képzőművészeti kiállítás tematikája is erre épül, s a címe
" Bioszféra rezervátum" is erre utal - itt a legfiatalabb, még tanulmányaikat folytató művészektől egészen az elismert alkotókig olyan munkákat szeretnénk bemutatni, amelyek koncepciójukban, anyagkezelésükben a bioszféra szerteágazó kapcsolatainak művészi eszközökkel való megértését és megjelenítését tűzték ki célul.

The 6th ARTplacc Contemporary Art and Design Festival is held at the southern corner of the Tihany Peninsula by Lake Balaton. This year our Festival’s aim is to explore the ways in which contemporary artists, designers and performers respond to the emerging questions of sustainability. Located in the Balaton Uplands National Park, Tihany – and one of its beautiful lakeside groves where the festival takes place – provides an excellent venue for investigating one of the most burning challenges of our time, namely the fragile relationship between nature and society. Such a picturesque location also enables us to point more effectively towards readily available ideas and solutions to sustainability which can help restore the harmony of a disrupted relationship between humans and nature. The theme of our fine arts exhibition, as well as its title “Biosphere Reserve” reflects the overarching topic of the festival, marshalling the works of a range of creatives from young talents still in their studies to renowned artists. In this exhibition we present a variety of works that aim to understand and display both conceptually and materially the far-reaching connections of the biosphere through a variety of artistic tools. Our design exhibition space foregrounds objects made from environmentally friendly, sustainable and organic materials, and displays exhibits that promote environmental responsibility and the protection of nature. ARTplacc is a keen advocate of urban development, and therefore the topic of urbanisation is also an integral part of the festival. We examine the potential development opportunities for settlements around Lake Balaton, seeking possible trajectories to extend the rapid modernisation trends and urban successes of Budapest over the last decade to both the local population and visitors.
